Deanston continued there pursuit of the league title with an impressive 3-0 win away to Gartocharn fc. Faced with injuries, suspensions and holidays, the club were still able to field a team that proved to be competetitive. Early chances came and went and the game was in a period on attrition when gareth killen supplioed an excellent left foot finish to open the scoring. An uncharacteristicforray into the opponents half , had kenny myles cross in a ball that was met perfectly by the head of david innesfor the second. Half time brought a number of weary legs to the touchline. And the second half was predominatly Garto pressure. Deanstons back 5 held on however and not for the first time this season, and were rewarded when young james mckenna got his first goal for thge ston. the game then petered out somewhat, but at the final whistle the relief to have overcame this tricky tie was palpable among the players.
