Dear All, It’s really painful to see an attendance of 12-13 in Annual General Meeting. People are requested to introspect into their seriousness and commitment towards the cause of GS. We are certainly not the best, but to be the best you have to start somewhere. And to start somewhere we need all of you. However, The decisions taken at Annual General Meeting held on 20.12.14 are as follows: 1)Academic Welfare Programme: Number of schools to be reduced from 6 to 3. Individual Help to be increased from 2 to 4. 2)Medical Welfare Programme: One medical camp to be conducted before March’15 and another medical camp to be conducted before June’15. 3)Social Welfare Programme(at Gobardanga): to be continued in usual manner. Local teachers shall take exams of the students on bi-monthly mode and submit the papers whenever Guiding Star Asks for it. Guiding Star shall organise half yearly exams separately for the students. Guiding Star shall also arrange one Drawing Competition and one Sports competition/Med camp next year. Sudden site visits to the coaching centre shall be performed for better survellliance of the project. 4)Code of conduct for members is finalised. Shall be released soon. 5)Membership fee of Rs. 200 per month remains same. But defaulting members are requested again to pay their pending memberships. Matter to be taken seriously. 6)Mr. Subhankar Choudhury replacing Mr. Supriyo Samanta in Governing Body of GS. 7)Election had taken place. New body is as follows: President- Dr. Shameek Mukherjee Vice President- Mr. Soumya Basu Secretary- Mr. Saikat Dutta Joint Secretary- Mr. Sandhikshan Mukherjee Treasurer- Mr. Monojit Dey This is just a briefed intimation.
