Dear Alumni and Friends of WSU RE: Invitation to the ‘Alumni and Friends of the Walter Sisulu University Forum’ In an effort to build, maintain and sustain relationships with key stakeholders for the advancement of Walter Sisulu University, the Walter Sisulu University Foundation (WSUF) will be hosting an ‘Alumni and Friends of the Walter Sisulu University Forum’ at the Protea Hotel, Midrand on 25 June 2013 at 18h30. Since its inception four years ago, the WSU Foundation continues to be a resource mobilization arm of the University. However, the current situation taking shape within Walter Sisulu University which led to the university operating under Administration has posed serious threats to the advancement efforts of the WSU Foundation. We, therefore, believe that relationship building and constructive engagements with key external stakeholders like Alumni and Friends of WSU will impact positively on the advancement and development efforts of our beloved alma mater. It is in this light that the WSU Foundation will be hosting the above mentioned event as a platform for relationship building and intellectual engagement on resource mobilization strategies to employ in order to build our university for current and future generations of the people of South Africa and the Eastern Cape in particular. At this event, the WSU Foundation plans to brief the Alumni and Friends of WSU about challenges it faces as the resource mobilization arm of the university and the possible opportunities it envisions for growth and success. Furthermore we would also like to appeal to the Alumni and Friends of WSU to pledge their dedication, determination and commitment to our resource mobilization efforts. The WSU Foundation thus requests the honour of your presence at this long awaited event. We would be very grateful to hear from you before 22 June 2013.
