Dear BBCN members, The board members have agreed that for now, the BBCN will be put on hold until further notice. The website, though built and beautiful, will not be added to. This includes no new events or open meetings after the 19th. We are asking for support and information from the Louisville group on how they have come to be, and how Lexington can accomplish the same. Specifically, there are concerns over legal ramifications for individuals and the group as a whole, if one or more of its members finds themselves sued for practicing outside their scope. We would like you all to know that the Rally for Better Birth was a huge success! We gained over 30 names of people who are excited to see the BBCN come to life. Lexington needs us to accomplish what we have started, however, in order to do so we need more support from members and more information from Louisville. Katie is personally contacting each individual who signed the contact form to inform them that we appreciate their continued support but that the Network needs more time to build itself in order to “connect women with the very best care available.” The board members appreciate your continued support as well. Please do come to the next meeting on Oct. 19th from 4:30-6pm at 319 South Ashland Ave, at the Town and Country Realtor building. We will be celebrating with food and good conversation because, we are, at our core, a networking group. The conversation must continue!
