Dear Blessed One, While he thought about these things, behold, - TopicsExpress

Dear Blessed One, While he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 1:20 The Word of God carries great revelation in every verse. The Bible is full of spiritual truths. Such is the case with the story of Jesus.Have you ever thought about the reality of what happened to Joseph? When Joseph found out Mary was pregnant, he was going to secretly put her away rather than allow her to be stoned to death, as was the custom for pregnancy out of wedlock back then. He was going to do this because he was a good man and because he loved her. Because of his goodness and love, he did not want to bring embarrassment and shame to her family. However, an angel appeared to him in a dream. All through the Old Testament, angels appeared to men of God and gave them direction and understanding from God. Many times they appeared as angelic beings in the sky and many times they appeared walking on the ground as men. In fact, you may remember that Lot had an encounter with angelic beings in the city of Sodom and these angels looked so much like men that the people who lived in Sodom thought they were men Genesis 19.But the angel that appeared to Joseph did not appear as a creature in the sky or as a man on the earth. Somehow, the angel entered into Josephs dream and inside his dream this angel explained to Joseph that he should not put Mary away, but that he should marry her and take her as his wife. The angel told Joseph that the seed inside of Mary was not from an earthly man but from the Spirit of God.Let me ask you something. Why is it that an angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph 2,000 years ago but rarely does it happen today? God has not changed and neither has His plan. Angels still exist and they are still messengers from God. But the message throughout Gods Word is this: we only receive what we believe. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead and you receive Him as your personal Savior, you are saved or born again. If you do not believe He is Lord, you do not receive Him. We are told that we receive miracles and the Holy Spirit and prophecy through faith. Believing is the key component to faith. But always remember this. We should seek Him and not a manifestation. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels Hebrews 13:2.Behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow Matthew 28:2,3. Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” Mark 9:23. Expect your Miracle and testimony today in Jesus Name. “And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42 Precious Child of God,One of the major problems of the church today is that there are many people who are so busy for the Lord’s work that they have no time for the Lord of the work. Working for the Lord without the love of the Lord will make you serve simply out of a sense of duty and not out of worship. You will serve to impress and not to minister, bless or influence the people. You will serve for reward and not for sacrifice. You will serve to be noticed and accepted and that type of service usually leads to bitterness, strife, envy and jealousy. Beloved, as this year draws to a close, I need you to take stock of your service in the house of God. Are you just serving and running on empty tank? Or are you constantly refilling yourself? In the scripture above, Martha was upset, not because of the visitors in the house but because Mary who should help in the kitchen was busy sitting and listening to Jesus. Jesus is not saying that it is wrong to serve. Rather He is drawing your attention to the process that makes the service acceptable and devoid of murmuring, bickering and backbiting. For you to serve successfully, you must first sit at His feed. To sit is to listen, to sit is to study the word, to sit is to be a person given to prayer. When you sit and soak in the word, service becomes natural and joyful. Child of God, dont go into 2015 filled with activity. Be sure to live a life of balance. Study to show yourself approved to God by studying the word and soaking in the word of God, not just head knowledge that jumps out of the window in the sight of the slightest challenge. But a heart and mouth connection too. Your Service will surely be rewarded by The Lord in Jesus Name.Amen! Our next Service would be on Sunday. See you Refreshed and Blessed. Time: 10am.
