Dear Breeders, Our “ On Farm Challenge “ is now in its 23nd year and has proven to be an excellent way for Breeders to show and promote their Jerseys from their home farm, with the eventual winners going on to compete in the Great Southern Challenge. Amy Wright and Anthea Day will be judging this year’s event. Entry is open to registered and unregistered animals of true Jersey type. Should an unregistered animal qualify to compete in the Great Southern Challenge, she will need to enter Jersey Australia’s Genetic Recovery program before being eligible to compete. You will be notified as to the time of judging prior to the day. Judging is expected to take approximately 3 minutes per cow. Please ensure your entry forms are filled out and your exhibits are ready in a small yard prior to judges arriving. Entries need to be presented to the judges in the same order you have written them on the entry form. To participate in the On Farm Challenge, you must be a financial member of the Northern District Jersey Breeder’s Club. Membership is $10 per voting member. Entry fee is $5 per entry to be paid prior to judging. Entry Fees will be waived for first time exhibitors, however we do require Club Membership to be paid.
