Dear Brian and Miss L. I pay child support to my ex-wife for the past 2 years monthly and I know for a fact she does not spend it on necessities for our son. How can this be fixed? Whenever my son is at my house he comes over in jeans that are too short and his shirts are old and ripped. I’m always buying him new clothes. I don’t want him to be that kid at school with ratty stuff and have him be picked on. I give my ex over $1200 a month and I know she’s not saving it for him. She bought a brand new car and she’s always spending money on things like jewelry and going out. I don’t care what she does in her personal life anymore but I do care about my son and making sure he’s taking care of with the money I’m giving them. Do you have any advice? -Steve from Groton
