Dear Captains, The first week of the season is in the books. The - TopicsExpress

Dear Captains, The first week of the season is in the books. The rain did not affect any games and we were able to play all the games. Forecast for this Sunday is low 80’s with little chance of rain. Please remember the following: 1) There will be no games during the Labor Day Weekend. 2) Weather. Our weather line is 703-229-1705. Advance forecast is calling for highs in the mid 70’s with a 40% chance of rain. Turf fields will not be affected by rain. We do have games at two grass fields (Landon and Trinity). If you are playing at Landon or Trinity, please instruct your team mates to check the weather line before heading to the field. 3) Our website has our league rules, directions to fields and liability waiver forms if you use unregistered players this weekend. 4) I have been getting a lot of requests from Captains about rosters for this week. We will not be checking rosters during the second week of the season. If you use players that have not been registered yet, we ask Captains to collect a liability waiver form. The form is on the website. We will be checking rosters and player ID’s for everyone starting on September 8th. 5) We were informed this week that “CRAB A.C.” (Premier Division team) is abandoning the league. Given the lateness of the announcement we will be do the following: a) All Premier games against CRAB A.C. will be recorded as a forfeit win (3-0) for their respective opponents. b) We will rework the schedule again for Premier Division. We don’t want to have teams having a 3 week break. c) Every team in Premier will make the playoffs. There will be 7 regular season games (not counting CRAB A.C.). The playoff game will be the 8th game of the season. We have 4 Eight team divisions (Premier, D1, D2 and D3). 6) Please check the exchange section of the CCSL website. We continue to receive postings for new players looking for squads. 7) Social & Pictures. Please continue to send us your pictures. We would like to continue to update our website and facebook page. Please encourage your teams to check out the facebook page at https://facebook/theccsl. We would like to hear any comments or suggestions about the kind of content you would like to see there. Please email any facebook comments to Erik @ ccslregistrar@gmail Have a great weekend. Play Fair. Ricardo Ricardo A. Lasso, Esq.
