Dear Channel 9 cricket commentary team, I realise that it must be difficult to work out how to fill in the hours of coverage with meaningful commentary and informative cricket related conversation but seriously youve been discussing the pronunciation of Marnus Labuschagnes surname for days. Four in this test to be precise, and actually since day 2 of the Brisbane test when he came to our attention as a substitute taking that awesome catch. When he came on as substitute and took that catch on 18 December, I could forgive you for not knowing how to pronounce his name correctly, but in the 10 days since where youve needed to know it because you keep talking about his catch and have nominated it in one of your endless competitions, surely one of you could have done him the courtesy of finding out? No, Im not familiar with the correct pronunciation, but surely you or a member of your research team could have contacted Queensland Cricket? Or better yet Marnus himself?! Im sure hes been saying and spelling it for muppets like you since he learned how to spell it himself! Get some respect. He deserves it. Rant over.
