Dear Church, Instead of the usual scripture or two, today I bring you 3 chapters, yes 3 full chapters. Of course I cant put them all in this email but I encourage each of you to read the whole book of 2 Peter which is 3 chapters. Here is what you need to look for as you read. The 1st chapter is all about what we have been called unto in the Lord and then growing who and what we are by continually adding Godly attributes to our lives. The chapter ends with how important the word is in our life... REVELATION just like the light of a brand new day. The 2nd chapter speaks to us about what happened to those who did not do what we are admonished to do in chapter 1. It lets us know that all of us are susceptible to falling... if some of the angles fell from heaven after being in the presence of God for who knows how long, where does that place us? So I now bring you the 2 last verses in chapter 3 which sums it all up.... 2 Peter 3:17-18 (KJV) 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. My prayer for all of us today is Jesus put a hunger and thirst in our hearts to grow in you, let us know you more today than I ever have at any time in my life! Help me to really realize that you are THE PRIORITY before anything else in our lives.
