Dear Colleagues, Moving towards 10 days to Belgium and Austria for exposure visit to exchange ideas and ongoing practices of Nepalese Cities and European Cities on waste management including 3rd Project meeting in Brussels. As you all know that Hetauda is working on SUNYA: Towards Zero Waste in South Asia Project with the objectives to create conducive environment for Zero waste situation through active participation of community and informal sector like rag pickers. For this, Hetauda is proposing an innovative idea of "Green, Blue and Red Channel"for bio, recyclable and hazardous waste for waste segregation from primary and secondary collection level. It is just pilot demonstration and going to test in Ward No 2 in 1065 Households. Days in a week is plan to divide as 5 days for green colored waste collection whereas 2 days for blue colored waste collection. This idea will be shared with other seven cities in South Asian cities like Dhaka, Simala, Koimbatore, Phunsteling, Matle.
