Dear Corporate Scum, I am writing this review of your service to inform you that I will no longer be supporting or renting from your company. You know what is even more funny? Here is where I am going to start. ::Began Rant Why I Loved Red Boxes:: Easy to use, close as hell and its like old school arcades where you bounced from location to location to find that one thing you were after to spend all your QUARTERS on. I thought, Man, Red Box is so much better than Blockbuster. I dont need a membership, I can watch the movie, for a dollar in my house and return it in a day. Wow! What a great deal! The only down side is that I cant keep the games for 7 days without a little of a price increase. But the convenience is worth it. The Total? $4.57 (I hate movie theaters just because of prices but Ill steal your buttered popcorn......) ::End Supportive Rant:: ::Begin Why I Will NEVER Support/Use Red Box again.:: Monday, the 24th of March. We decide to go rent from red box, Frozen - Last Vegas and one game (to see if we like it enough to buy it from ANOTHER corporation.) which was an Adventure Time game. Now we rented these three items on Monday night around 11, 11:30 P.M. And watched Frozen on Monday. I played the game after the movie for about two hours while my wife slept. Tuesday, We watch the movie, Last Vegas and my son and grandmother watch Frozen together. We returned the movies and games together at the same time at around 10:50 P.M. Tuesday Night. Now you claim to allow Daily rentals. Which by any math major or normal, non-sheep corporate whore consumer would understand that there are 24 hours in a day. Do you think I am going to agree with your (support center) that a DAY consist of 12 hours? That YOU, REDBOX, think a normal WORK DAY consist of a 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. Schedule? Which would constitute that I would be allowed 12, to 24 hours of rental to return these movies in a Day. My Wife called Today because Your corporation nearly over drafted our account because you dont function in 24 hour days. Technically you charged us double for things we had for 24 hours. yet, your day of charging us consisted of.... (11 P.M. To 9P.M. (This is when you Recharged us because we had not returned them by 9.P.M.) So technically, We rented these movies on the next day which would INCLUDE Wednesdays 9 P.M. charge to our account.) if i lost you on this last part let me make it simple common core math for you. You charge people at 9 P.M. EVERY day AT 9! So technically, that would be your 12 A.M. so I come at your store location at the next business day around, 3 A.M. rent 3 items and go home suspecting my money was paid for a 24 hour day to day period. I return those movies at 2 A.M. the next day (technically for you it was two days) and you charged me ~$10.30 for 23 hours because you charged me two hours prior, for another FULL DAY. Now me being of sound mind and body, was not allowed a 24 hour rental. And its a scam that is easily pointed out if you just look at it. So basically, You stole from me. (You collect at 9P.M. no point of time of operation occurred, I Pay you at 11 p.m. the SAME day, just after you collect your taxes on unsuspecting people to your scam, and charge me TWICE since I returned the items, ONE, HOUR, After your Tax collection process in your computers was carried out. I am MORE THAN SURE, everyone who has been ripped off by your company agrees, that you owe me 11 hours of free time to do whatever I please with your product. You took something I paid for for 24 hours, and stole pretty much, 11 hours (THAT WE PAID FOR) more time I could have been watching those movies two more times and played the game for another two hours. I was on your side Red Box.... But today, when my wife called to ask WHY your company nearly over drafted us, you said, Everyday, at 9 we take the money. But we can give you a promo code. Do you offer 3 free rental promo codes? My email is not hard to find, Hit me up RedBox. But (3) free rentals isnt going to cut it. Nah, Since your employee disrespected my wife by hanging up on her for refusing a promo code You will give me (5) free rental promos or forever lose my Families and my business. ::End Rant:: Also, Would I have been charged twice had I rented at 7 P.M. and returned them the next day at 8 P.M. ? Or would you have just charged them twice in the same day at 9 P.M.? Food for your common core apple. Reviewing the bank statement you took 3 days worth. 4.57 on first rental. and another was charged after 9 P.M. ($9.53) for a total of $14.10 How many days is that in your books? Your common core math skills are showing. 9.53 -4.57 $5.06 5.06, added between the time of rental and time of return, Have a good day, Scum. :)
