Dear Dr. Krauthammer: I am touched by your concern for the people of the Crimea and the Ukraine.And, I well remember how last September you suddenly became a forceful advocate for dead Arab children in Syria--funny, I dont seem to remember any columns of yours about all the Arab children killed in Iraq by US sanctions in 1991-2003; but I digress. I, and a lot of other people, wonder about all of the passion of you all in the Beltway crowd have for the Ukraine and the Crimea, just as we wondered about all of the outrage expressed about the children killed by gas in Syria. Is this sincere concern for the peoples of those regions--or is what really motivates you is sabotaging US-Russian relations so as to derail the US-Iranian talks on Irans nuclear program. (Russia has been a key mediator in these US-Iranian talks.) I dont like questioning peoples sincerity--but after that farcical flood of crocodile tears you all in the Beltway crowd shed over dead Syrian children last September I think that entire country can be forgiven if we suspect that what really motivates a lot of you all within the beltway is your obsession to incite a US-Iranian War--a war that would be a disaster for the US, a disaster for the world, and a disaster for Israel--as a large number of Israeli military and intelligence officials have stated. (I have spent several months in Israel--a common refrain among Israelis is The American supporters of Israel are prepared to fight to the last Israeli.) Take care.
