Dear Family & Friends As many of you know Lloyd and I have spent time in the Philippines ministering to these precious people. It breaks our hearts to be so far away and unable to lend immediate assistance whether it is financial or physical. I have had contact with one of our Philippines friends – a trusted Church leader. He has shared that there are many needs in the area of medical, food and water. He informs me there is another storm headed for the same general area as this last one. We; along with our fellowship Point of Contact under the ministry of Beauty for Ashes will be receiving financial support for the displaced even devastated people of the Philippines. We will be forwarding all funds received directly into the hands of a trusted administrator who will oversee the purchasing and distribution of supplies to those in need. What can you do to help? 1. Pray. Pray against the new storm Pray for the blessing of God to fall upon the people Pray in agreement with Gods Word that promises His provision for every need. Pray for those who will be going to assist the Philippine people. Pray that His glory will come forth and all that was meant for evil will reveal the hand of God to the hearts of those in need/ even the world. 2. Give. God is a giver and Paul instructs us on the grace of giving and even encourages us to excel at it. I also encourage you to excel at this grace by sharing what God has given you with those so desperately in need. Contact me with questions and understand that right now this is front page news and a few weeks from now it will not be but the needs will still be there. We will collect gifts and forward them for many months yet to come. God is a restorer and we are His hands and feet. This is a long term mission outreach project as rebuilding begins and continues. No gift is too large or small every one helps. Remember the widow’s mite and how she gave her last to honor God and it pleased the Lord greatly. Although her gift was monetarily small her heart was not. Small gifts add up to large amounts of provision. I ask that you share what God has s graciously given to you so that His love will be made known to others and even moreso that you will be blessed by this grace of giving. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. As it is written, He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever. He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. (2Co 9:7-12 ESV)
