Dear Family and Friends, I am SO pumped to tell you that I am going to Lima, Peru this summer with Buckner International through a program called Project Go! Little did I know a post on Facebook from Groupon would lead me to Lima, Peru. While there, I will work with vulnerable children and families that Buckner supports through health clinics, education programs and foster care services, just to mention a few. My specific role is still developing, so stay connected to my Facebook page for more information. I can just see myself cooking for the orphans, teaching a few classes, coloring amazing sidewalk chalk masterpieces and maybe even giving a vaccination or two!? I can’t wait to share God’s story among those in need in Peru. As a Buckner volunteer, I am raising the means to get me to Peru. The cost of my trip is approximately $3,045.00. I am currently asking for donations, working full time at school and will put forth half of the amount needed, but still need your help! It is with great honor and excitement that I come to you and ask you to be a part of my ministry team. Will you consider giving financially towards my trip to Peru? Here are some ways you can give: $5 is the cost of an approximate meal….would you consider donating a week’s worth of meals? You can also donate airline miles! Otherwise, my flight will be about $1000. $35 will help provide materials as we share the Gospel to the children through activities. Finally, I won’t be sleeping on the streets so you can donate $200 to go towards my lodging. I am thankful for your consideration in joining my support team.
