Dear Followers of CHRIST: Below is a group of scriptures that focus on the MOVE of the HOLY SPIRIT in people’s lives. After the HOLY SPIRIT came on these people they prophesied and did many great things. It is by the Power of the HOLY SPIRIT that great things by men for GOD were accomplished. People in GOD’s Will empowered by the HOLY SPIRIT are truly doing what GOD wants done and without being in the Will of GOD and having the filling of the HOLY SPIRIT we are in the will of the enemy working against the Kingdom of GOD. We need the HOLY SPIRIT and not just a half-full oil lamp, we need a FULL oil lamp—just like the people in the Bible needed HIM. Ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to fill you up and give you a full oil lamp and to be centered in the Will of GOD. Here are many examples in scripture of GOD’s SPIRIT moving on people to empower them: Judges 3:9-10 (KJV): 9And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Calebs younger brother. 10AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON HIM, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim. Numbers 11:25 (KJV): And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the SPIRIT that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: AND IT CAME TO PASS, THAT WHEN THE SPIRIT RESTED UPON THEM, THEY PROPHESIED, AND DID NOT CEASE. Ezekiel 11:2-5 (KJV): 2 Then said he unto me, son of man, these are the men that devise mischief, and give wicked counsel in this city: 3 Which say, It is not near; let us build houses: this city is the caldron, and we be the flesh. 4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man. AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD FELL UPON ME, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. Numbers 27:18-19 (KJV): 18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, A MAN IN WHOM IS THE SPIRIT,and lay thine hand upon him; 19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. Deuteronomy 34:9 (KJV): AND JOSHUA THE SON OF NUN WAS FULL OF THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. Judges 15:14 (KJV): And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. 1 Samuel 16:13 (KJV): Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: AND THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON DAVID FROM THAT DAY FORWARD So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah. 2 Chronicles 24:20 (KJV): AND THE SPIRIT OF GOD CAME UPON ZECHARIAH, THE SON OF JEHOIADA THE PRIEST, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith GOD, Why transgress ye the Commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? Because ye have forsaken the LORD, HE hath also forsaken you. Ezekiel 3:14 (KJV): SO THE SPIRIT LIFTED ME UP, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the Hand of the LORD was strong upon me. Acts 8:39 (KJV): And when they were come up out of the water, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAUGHT AWAY PHILIP, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. Judges 6:34 (KJV): BUT THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON GIDEON, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him. John 1:33 (KJV): And, I knew him not: but HE that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, UPON WHOM THOU SHALT SEE THE SPIRIT DESCENDING, AND REMAINING ON HIM the same is HE which baptizeth with the HOLY GHOST.
