Dear Friend, Just got off the phone with a close friend of mine - TopicsExpress

Dear Friend, Just got off the phone with a close friend of mine who lives in a small town in Colorado. She is a hard worker and has been middle class all of her working life. She lived in Highland Park for most of her working life. She saved her money so she could retire and she did. She sold her home in Highland Park took her retirement money and moved to Colorado years ago. She began buying rental property in the town which worked well for some years but then came BIG GOVERNMENT. People from outside her community decided that the Coal Mining needed to stop, the fracking needed to stop. They then decided to give Bears run of the Town and she has had Bears at their back door with her grandchildren inside rather than playing out doors. She has called the Game Department and they told her to leave the Bears alone and get her children inside. I don’t care how cute a Bear is the thought of a Bear carrying off my grandchild to it death is completely unconscionable to me. BIG GOVERNMENT decided to stop the fracking during the mating season of the animals. You understand what the companies did next it is what all of us would do move. So what happened you know the town has greatly shrunk in size because of lost jobs that went to other States that allowed these activities. There are abandoned homes all around the community because people lost good paying jobs and needed to move where those jobs are. The only jobs someone can get are fast food, retail and Walmart. I really wished that the people who rant about our environment would take into consideration the very real effects that their Big City Politics will have on the people in communities like my fiend. She now has properties worth much less if she could sell them with all of the foreclosures and really no quality renters left. This was not caused by a Financial Melt Down this was caused by the overreach of BIG GOVERNMENT. Think of what this has done to a person who was not rich, played by the rules and whose retirement is now in question. I am not saying I want dirty air or unclean water what I would like to see is a cost benefit analyst done on the communities that these new regulations will have. abcnews.go/blogs/technology/2012/09/bear-epidemic-expected-to-worsen-in-the-west/ theenergycollective/simonlomax/299506/anti-energy-activists-go-local-because-they-are-losing-everywhere-else
