Dear Friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am to share this - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, I cannot tell you how excited I am to share this news with you! My brand new on-line store and I are sharing the same birthday! I just opened an on-line store called kira kira life (yes, it’s intentionally all lower case). I decided to open this store because 1) I needed side income, 2) I loved supporting artists, and 3) I loved sharing beautiful creations with people. I actually started to work on this website in 2011. However, with life’s unexpected turns and bumps, I had to put this project on hold. Yet I knew that I would give birth to kira kira life someday, so I quietly kept the charcoal burning. After many hours of dealing with HTML code, problem solving, and with friends’ help and encouragement, finally, this day has come - the day for it to be rekindled. Kira kira means shining sparkling, glimmering, and twinkling in Japanese. I believe that we truly shine from within when we are connected to our inner beauty - our essence. It is my hope that the handmade, one-of-a-kind products I carefully handpicked will remind you of how unique and precious you already are, and that this will prompt you to radiate joy from within just like the word kira kira suggests. As many of you know, I temporarily left my teaching job to focus on my classical Indian dance training (I wrote about the decision process here - akariueoka2014-2015.blogspot/2014/04/en-announcement.html). Although I’ve saved some money during the employment, making a living just being a dancer is challenging. I’ve been making ends meet by doing various work such as translation, teaching Japanese privately, and others which allow me a flexible schedule and hence more time to dance. I am hoping that this new store will become one of a solid income source, so that I can continue to pursue my dream while supporting other artists. If you could spread the word out, I very much appreciate it. Please check out kirakiralife and please let me know if you have any question, feedback, or suggestion for improvement. I used a software called Rapidweaver and self-taught how to use it. I did not hire anyone to make this site (except a person to write product descriptions). Therefore, it may appear to be somewhat amateur, but I had to start somewhere, and I am happy with how it has turned out as of today. I will continue to improve upon it. If you would like to stay tuned with new products and upcoming events, please sign up for e-news letters at eepurl/dP_4c. (In other words, I will not automatically enroll you to respect your preference).
