Dear Friends of the Show Me Innovation Center – As a Board of Directors, we wanted to provide an update on the progress of the Center to all of our supporters. As a Board, we have made good progress with our capital campaign over the past month. We are blessed to be able to work with such a philanthropically-minded community and the support thus far has been excellent. Since June 24th, the Center has been able to secure nearly $240,000 in cash and in-kind contributions; the in-kind contributions are in large part due to the gracious generosity of the City of Fulton. Additionally, these amounts do not include the $50,000 loan pool established by The Callaway Bank for high school aged entrepreneurs. As you may have noticed, the City of Fulton has begun the demolition of the former police station. When completed, the renovated facility will serve as the home for the Show Me Innovation Center. We are excited at the progress and look forward to Phase II of the renovation project. We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new members to our Board of Directors. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Selcen Phelps of Westminster College and Kristina Bright, Chief Marketing Officer of Bravo Creative, LLC. Lastly, we are pleased to inform you that our collaborative efforts have generated interest from several external organizations. Just today, we hosted the Acting Executive Director of the Missouri Technology Corporation to explore future funding and partnership opportunities. Furthermore, other partnerships have already been secured including relationships with the Central Missouri Community Action microloan program and the State of Missouris Small Business Development and Technology Center (SBTDC). The support has been amazing, but there is still much work to be done. As a Board, we will continue our fundraising campaign for the Center and seek out matching fund and grant opportunities. If you have not already contributed to the campaign, we urge you to consider making a financial contribution. Your contribution will support the initiatives of the Center and allow us to work with the citizens of the County for job creation and improved quality of life. Donations may be made by clicking on the Donate button at the top of the page, online at showmeinnovation.org, dropped by any Callaway Bank location attn. Kim Barnes, or mailed to 2625 Fairway Drive #A, Fulton, MO 65251. Again, we thank the citizens of Callaway County for your support. None of this would have been possible without our community partners and we sincerely appreciate your contribution to this generational-changing effort.
