Dear Future Spouse Weekly Devotional IT IS NOT GOOD! And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18. The foundation of marriage is laid on Gods premise of the inappropriateness of being alone at some point in life. Although man was created by God, and in His perfect image too, God saw Adams need for relationship with not just a being like him, but also a help, that fits him. In the same vein, we sometimes feel complete without a partner, but there are emotional needs that only your partner can meet. As a single gentleman or lady, that feeling of loneliness that you sometimes have is completely alright and divinely implanted. There is a point that one will reach in life when all other things cease to satisfy and there is a crave for relationship with the opposite gender. At that point, it is important to depend on God and seek his face before making any choice. Finally, the will of God is for singles to be settled maritally. The fear you have that you may not find a right partner is only a plot of the devil to rob you of Gods best for you. There is an Eve for every Adam. Believe that God has someone for you, and that, just as you sometimes feel uncomfortable that you are still single, God also sees that it is not good for you to be alone and He has prepared someone for you. In His time, you will meet your future spouse. ~John
