Dear God, I want to be an effective servant for You because it is a privilege to belong to You. It gives me great joy to be part of Your family and to have the opportunity to extend Your love to others, as others extended it to me. I pray that You will always sustain this joy and reverent awe so I will not become dull in my service to You. I desire to please You and obey your Word. Dont let me wander from Your commandments, because it is through obedience that I can be the best example of Your love to others. Help me to accept that sometimes I must sacrifice my own comfort and desires to reach out to those who need it most. Let me show my devotion to You by putting others first. Finally, Lord, please fill me with genuine love for You and for others that will compel me to serve authentically. Please bless my desire to love and serve You faithfully all the days of my life.
