Dear Indian Trail voters: You deserve to know the following - TopicsExpress

Dear Indian Trail voters: You deserve to know the following regarding where the money has come from to finance my campaign to hopefully be elected to Town Council this November 5th. I have not and will not take any monetary donations from any person, business, corporation or PAC in my effort to get elected to the Indian Trail Town Council. I have spent nearly $900 of my own money on campaign literature, yard signs, car door magnets and business cards. My self-imposed cap is to not spend anything beyond $999 and I will stick to this budget. Why might you ask am I limiting the amount of money spent? My intentions all along has been to set an example that you don’t have to outspend the other candidates to be elected. This decision is based on my belief that ELECTIONS should NEVER be PURCHASED but should be EARNED. For way too long, the regular working man (and woman), the “little guy”, the person that puts in 10 hour days, 5 – 6 days a week to earn an honest living and feed their family has had their voice drowned out by the drumbeat of the big spender, the big campaign donors and the special interest groups who have vested financial interests in winning elections and maintaining a tight grip on the important decisions needing to be made for the community. I have no special interest other than to serve you the resident as a voice on the Town Council. I am not looking to build a political resume or become a career politician; I just want to bring positive changes to Indian Trail and hopefully it starts with your vote if cast for me on November 5th. Thank you for taking time to read this if you made it this far. May God continue to Bless you, our Country, State and Community. Jerry Morse
