Dear Kung Fu masters, instructors and presidents, You know very - TopicsExpress

Dear Kung Fu masters, instructors and presidents, You know very well that Kung Fu is almost practiced in every country. Its history proves how deep its roots have spread and how popular it is in the world. Then why is it not united as a keen sport with a unique system to make the world society consider it as one of the great sports like wrestling and boxing? Many of you will answer to this question that Kung Fu has got many styles. Some others will say that Kung Fu is not only fighting but has philosophy, zen and own outlook. I agree with all these. But I can’t accept this idea that Kung Fu might not need a unity considering the above said points. The great organizations of the world compose of many departments. We, on our turn, can set up a unique system for Kung Fu as well as committees for Kung Fu styles and its philosophy. In this regard, we founded the International Kung Fu Federation (IKF) and invited all kungfu styles to join this unity. Now we do not say, we have succeeded a firm unity, even though IKF has national representatives in 78 countries. Many organizations are satisfied only just being IKF members to be known in the world and they do not attend the world events. I think all these occur because we do not have a strong unity and every one propagates his style only. I wish all the kung fu instructors regard that power can be made only through a strong unity. Considering all these, I request all Kung Fu - Tai Chi organizations to write us suggestions: 1. How do you think we can strengthen our unity? 2. How can we assist the foundation of national kung fu federations in all the countries? 3. Legal registration of national kung fu federations 4. Why do you / don’t you join IKF? 5. Do you think the unity of Kung Fu can restrict the development of Kung Fu? Why / Why not? 6. Do you think a unique rules system will limit Kung Fu? Why/ Why not? 7. Why aren’t Kung Fu masters and instructors supported by their governments? With best regards, Davud Mahmudzadeh IKF President internationalkungfu
