Dear Kyudo-kai Happy New Year 2015! I hope that this message finds you in the best of health and spirits, and that all of your New Year activities are meeting with much success. The Kotohajime performance, Hatsu-Yuki held at the Aratani Theatre on Sunday, January 4th was most gratifying success. The presence of a falling snow and a full house attendance, the performance was received with warmth and enthusiasm due in large part to your valuable participation and generous contribution. As in the past, the fruitful culmination of month of working with you to produce such a grand effort has left me feeling deeply fortunate for the opportunity given to me. I owe our sincere gratitude to you for the dedicated support and involvement ensured the success of the “Kotohajime: Hatsu-Yuki program. I thank the students during the production process and throughout our arduous conversations; they have given me a fountains’ full of personal fulfillment. Please convey my deepest appreciation to your Kyudo students, who made this performance such a success. I am grateful and thank you for your kind understanding in allowing the students to devote so much of their time to this project. Again, my deepest thanks for this unexpected adventure and honor.
