Dear Members, On the momentous occasion of my being elected to the Karachi Branch Council of ICMA Pakistan, I would first of all like to express my deepest Gratitude to Allah Almighty for bestowing such a great honor on me. Secondly I would like to thank all those who voted for me and who reposed their trust in me: a trust that is sacred. I assure everyone that I will do my utmost to live up to that trust and to the responsibility that has been placed on my shoulders. I am deeply deeply humbled and am hardly being able to imbibe the magnitude of what has happened. Indeed and needless to say, this would never have been possible without the support of my family members, friends and well wishers. I would like to take this opportunity to mention that election was aggressively carried out and being the only female contestant it became at times challenging for me to run my campaign. However I really appreciate how my fellows, especially female fellows worked tirelessly and resolutely and continuously encouraged me with their moral support. Finally, to my opponent I say, Well Played! But now let there be no further personal attacks, divisions and pettiness. Let us be greater than that. Let us make a fresh start and move forward to meet the great challenges we face. The new Members KBC have been elected for the year 2015 and we must all work together for the betterment of the Institute. I look forward to meeting all you and learning about your views, suggestions and concerns. Once again Thank you very much for your support.
