Dear Mr. President: Due to the extreme right wing tyranny - TopicsExpress

Dear Mr. President: Due to the extreme right wing tyranny of the coal industry in West Virginia, and the extreme corruption that it brings into our state. I am formally requesting that you segregate the coal companies out of West Virginia government, in the interest of preserving the constitution against the amalgamation of corporations and government, commonly known to political scientists as fascism. The West Virginia coal industry has been a source of well documented corruption within the state of West Virginia for well over a century. As you are aware, from the national news, the minions of the coal industry have recently attempted to integrate climate chancge denial junk science into the curriculum of the public schools in this state, in spite of the efforts of your supporters who respect legitimate science, to put a stop to it. It may suprise you to know that you still have supporters here. I wish our numbers were larger. The state of West Virginia is a profound environmental disaster as the result of decades of strip mining, and mountaintop removal mining. The next time that you fly over southern West Virginia, look at the huge scars upon the land left by the coal industry as the evidence is clearly visable from the air. As you are aware from the national news, chemicals used by the coal industry, and stored in poorly maintained tanks, did only last year, create a catastrophic situation for 300,000 people, as it relates to potable water sources being profoundly polluted. People are unwilling to move here because of the bad water and contamination from the coal industry. Thus, with good reason, I sincerely believe the West Virginia coal industry is a threat to my heath, and my rights as a human being. This nation, now has sufficient oil, and natural gas resources, that we no longer need to tolerate the extreme corruption that the coal industry offers. Please help us to become free of them. I sincerely believe that a five to ten year federal moratorium on the mining of coal within the borders of the state of West Virginia, is a sound and prudent means to protect the liberty of the citizens of this state. I am afraid that nothing short of shutting the coal industry down in West Virginia, will afford the common people, the enviromental and human rights protection that they deserve. I wish this were possible through some local means, however the government of West Virginia is dysfunctiional in the face of coal industry money. Therefore interdiction by mandate is well justified, if for no other reason but enviromental and chemical hazard concerns created by longstanding water quality issues. Please give serious consideration to this course of action. If nothing else, a ten year moratorium, would start the environmental healing process of the remaining hills of West Virginia... that I love. Stephanie Heck / Huntington WV USA
