As a drama series, however, we believe that the programme’s audience accept that while our storylines are written to be entertaining and engaging, with the experiences of the characters are not necessarily those which will be shared with every person who has the conditions/injuries/diseases. Our characters are very much individual and so are their experiences – in this instance Lola’s sister Ruth is clearly mis-medicating Lola.
