I wanted to share with you some things from the heart about my Mary Kay Business. You have made the choice to become an Independent Beauty Consultant, you’re really excited, and you most likely have no idea what to do first, Right? Read this now, and then after you run and tell everyone you know, what you have done, and come back second guessing your choice, read this again. Mary Kay is one of the most amazing things that has ever crossed my path. Mary Kay is not a get rich quick opportunity it is a business. When you own your own business, you work for yourself. You have to be the most discerning and disciplined boss on the planet. No one is going to make you punch a clock, no one is going to make you get up and put your face on, and no one is going to do this business for you. You have to remind yourself every single day that you are worth it; you have to remind yourself every single day that you own your own business. You have to stop walking by your product sitting on your shelf and telling yourself every negative thought that crosses your mind about your full shelf, and empty wallet. You are the only one that can change the logistics of your thoughts, your wallet, and your shelves. This is going to take work. This is going to take courage. This is going to take its toll on all your negative self-talk. This is going to strain some relationships. This is going to take a Daily sometimes hourly Commitment on your part. You will find people that do nothing but nay say you, and most likely it will be your closest family and friends. Almost every person on the planet has heard about Mary Kay! Every one of those people, that does not use Mary Kay or sell Mary Kay is going to tell you that: “someone’s uncles-cousins-sisters-ex-step-daughters-boyfriends-zebra tried and failed at this company, or tried the product and it made his/her/its face fall off. Everyone will ask you if you have your pink car yet, and then proceed to tell you that Mary Kay never gives them away. I can go on for hours about the negativity that you will encounter, however let me tell you what you do get with this company! 1. You have unlimited opportunity to be the biggest success story ANYONE HAS EVER WRITTEN! All you have to do is choose to be successful, get out of your own way, and find a way or make one! No one can do this but you! 2. The friends you meet in this business are friends you will have for life, cherish them, because they are going to be there when your down in the dumps, and they will be there with you when you are the highest of high you have ever been and challenge you to be even better then you were 10 minutes ago! 3. You have the opportunity to have the equivalent of an Ivy League education by listening to our amazing nationals as they have been here and done it for years and are experts, in addition to the fact that our business plan has been taught at Harvard for years! Learn it, embrace it, and use it and you will go far! 4. This is the only company that you can fail forward to success that I personally know! Climbing the Ladder of Success is your choice, and it’s up to you! it works if you work it, it don’t if you don’t! 5. Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!... yes the prizes you get from your director and your recruiter most likely will be summer diamonds, (you know some are some aren’t) however those are just your TRAINERS, as the money that Mary Kay corporate invests to give back to us, EVERYONE OF US, REGARDLESS OF THE LEVEL you are on in this company is astronomically amazing and REAL! 6. The Cars are REAL! Trust me when I say, walking up to a brand new car with less than 3 miles on the odometer, knowing YOU EARNED IT, AND ITS FREE, Is the Absolute BEST FEELING on the planet! When you sit in that seat for the first time, or even the 3rd, 4th, or 5th time, you literally feel like royalty! DO NOT QUIT BEFORE YOU GET TO EXPERIENCE THIS! 7. This is the only company that you own for yourself, but have literally millions of women willing to go that extra mile to help you succeed! We are not cut throat, our company is built on the golden rule, and the go give spirit. We will cheer you on from your first minute choice to sign your agreement to your last choice to become the top of the top and retire in style! 8. You pick your own hours; you make your own schedule and YOU WRITE YOUR OWN PAYCHECK! Nowhere else can you work, do I know, that will let you work a 10 hour week and then average unlimited sales... my highest week in Mary Kay without love checks from the company averaged me 427 dollars an hour!! That was a 10 hour week, after I split my income 50/30/20 (50% back to product, 30% to me, 20% for business supplies and taxes) 9. This is the only job where you can choose your coworkers from the day you start until the day you finish! This is also the only job I know where you can bypass your boss if you choose to! There is absolutely NO LIMIT to your own personal success, except for what you limit yourself to do. 10. You’re in business for yourself backed by a global icon that will help you, Train you, Encourage you, replace your product, and help you keep a professional image to your customers through mailers, emails, business cards, and the list is long. I’m not done with my list, However I wanted to just simply let you know that you are already a star, someone saw an amazing light inside you, you were not chosen to be a part of this company simply because you have skin, you were hand-picked by someone who saw that spark inside you and believed it could be a raging inferno! I personally believe in you, simply because you made the choice to step out of your comfort zone and take that first step to financial independence, which is a brave thing to do! And I applaud you for it! I believe in you! You are never alone in your business, and you are never and I mean never a failure as long as you simply keep trying! Work your business... and give yourself a raise, a pat on the back, because today you did not throw your showcase into the woods and run out screaming at the top of your lungs like a crazy person! If you did, give yourself another pat on the back, remind yourself that you are an amazing being that God created, and HE HAS A PLAN! HE PUT THIS IN YOUR PATH FOR A REASON, AND HE DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES!! Go get that showcase out of the woods and ROCK STAR THIS OUT LIKE THE MARY KAY BOSS YOU ARE! Lastly, never be afraid to ask your director for help! That is why she is here! Never be afraid to ask anything! Educate yourself on your business choice! Use your weekly plan sheet, Make a list every day of the 6 most important things yCou have to do daily, write your goals down, read them every day, surround yourself with positive people, practice everything you are intimidated by in the mirror until you get it right, do not try to re-invent the wheel & know that somewhere in the middle of the United States of America, there is someone who started this business with the same showcase as you have, and believes in you!
