Dear Ocean Beach & Bay Club Members, Family & Friends: Information to share with all is as follows: OCEAN BEACH UNIT III BEACH SWIMMING AREAS: •Due to changing currents and deep holes off the beach, and to ensure the safety of all of our residents and guests, Captain McCarrick has had to relocate the Lifeguard chairs to a more southerly location. • We again ask for your understanding and co-operation to comply with swimming to be inside the green flagged areas only. •Chair positions may change consistently, based on conditions and concerns so noted by our Captain. •This is solely a safety matter and we will act accordingly to maintain safety within the community. •Lifeguard Captain Don McCarrick and Badge Checker Captain Josh Mehl are the supervisors for each respective team. •Issues have been documented pertaining to patrons yelling, cursing, and acting in a disrespectful manner to the members of our staff and this behavior will not be tolerated. •Please feel free to speak with the Captains pertaining to issues and or concerns you may have for rectification or clarification of issues and concerns. •These Associates belong to our community and should be treated fairly and with respect and thus the request to bring your concerns to the respective Captains for assistance. OCEAN BEACH UNIT III FLAG RAISING CEREMONY: •The ceremony was attended by many of our residents, guests and visitors. •The event was outstanding and I would like to personally express my sincere thank you and appreciation to the following: • Marine Corps Center Red Bank NJ for United States Marines, Sergeant A & Sergeant Amos for your support and exemplary actions in performing our flag raising. •Peter Kizima, Eagle Scout for taking the initiative in obtaining and erecting our Flagpole. •Bill Welsh, OB III Resident, for your outstanding Bugle skills and moving rendition of Taps to honor our Heroes. •Boy Scout Troop 70, Oakhurst NJ. •Mr. & Mrs. Kizima for your support and assistance in empowering Peter to move forward and accomplish his goals. •Angela Serio, for your impressive video skills. •To all residents, guests and trustees who attended the event, for your partnership, support and for taking the time to join us. •The ceremony was well received, with an outstanding turnout and positive feedback received - THANK YOU!!! •May God Bless Ocean Beach Unit III and all those who make our community a great one!!! •There is a short U tube video available for viewing. Please reference, youtu.be/WwiSsBN-vbg OCEAN BEACH CONSTRUCTION UPDATE & INFORMATION: •Summer construction guidelines went into effect Saturday, June 29th, 2013. •We are having issues pertaining to non compliance and again, we are requesting all respective homeowners to communicate the guidelines to your contractors. •Issues to date include dumpsters being left in the streets blocking the right of way, demolitions not being completed with debris remaining on site, weekend external construction including sawing, hammering, leaving excessive debris on site, public lewdness, theft of personal property, theft of electric and water from surrounding homes and vendor signage being re-erected are being founded. •Placing signage on telephone poles ten feet above ground, to signs on properties, are a violation of deed restrictions and need to be removed. •We need all residents and vendors to comply with the guidelines - without exception. •The Club will continue to take action and implement fines for failure to observe the rules created.
