Dear Parents, IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE To ensure the safety of your children, our students, and to avoid parents receiving tickets from the Nassau County Police department, we would like to remind you of some of the safety rules: Obey traffic regulations and laws! Dont park facing against traffic Drive on the right side of road Dont block cross walks Stop at stop signs, Stop at school bus stop signs (both small and large buses) Obey the parking signs, etc...... Please get out of your car! Have your son exit your vehicle on the sidewalk side and proceed to the crosswalk, where the security/safety officer will assist him to cross the street We were informed by the 4th precinct that they will have frequent appearances of patrol cars and officers by our school to enforce traffic rules and there will be zero tolerance to traffic violations. Facing against traffic is a $75.00 ticket or more with points; passing stopped buses is $250.00 fine with points and appearance ticket.
