Dear Parishioners and friends, This summer, I am participating in Ascension Churchs Mission to El Factor of Nagua, northern part of The Dominican Republic. The mission will take place from Sunday, July 5th until Saturday, July 11th. The purpose of the mission is two-fold; the Parish Mission is both spiritual and medical. During our Mission, we will gather each evening in the local parish church for Mass. The other part of our mission will include a 3 to 4-day Medical Clinic, which will include general medicine, cardiology, gynecology, pediatrics, and dentistry. This year we would also like to offer some ophthalmology services, if possible. Typically 400 - 500 + people would be seen each day. We will be accompanied by some physicians from our parish, and we are in the process of recruiting others (both from here and in Dominican Republic). We would hope to be about 30 - 35 in number.
