Dear Residence, I would Like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Jon Shelenske, and I am running for School Board. If elected it would be a honor to represent you as a South Milwaukee School Board Member and to fight for interest of the constituents and the teachers. I will strive to have a balance between the constituents and the teachers that represent the South Milwaukee High School. I hope to bring leadership, confidence, and integrity to the board. As a graduate of South Milwaukee High School, I understand the resources available to support students and the challenges of teachers and school leaders in providing sound educational resources during such budget-challenging times. I want to further assist the teachers to inspire every student to succeed by working with the budget to provide a quality education. I hope to expand that philosophy throughout the school district. In summary, if elected, I will ensure that our students continue to receive a quality education and provided with the tools upon which to be successful: not only in regards to the classroom, but in life goals for future endeavors.
