Dear Residents: All of us are affected by the flooding in this - TopicsExpress

Dear Residents: All of us are affected by the flooding in this area since the June 20th. The Town of Turner Valley experienced extraordinary events which none of us could have imagined. Although we are still in a state of local emergency at this time, under the skilled leadership of our Emergency Management Agency the situation is stabilized and we are starting to make progress in our recovery. It is important at this time to keep yourself and your family safe and respect all barricades set up near the river. Please stay away from the banks as they are extremely unstable and dangerous. Details of the status of the emergency can be viewed on the Town’s website. Council wishes to extend a huge thank you to our emergency services personnel, first responders, search and rescue, RCMP, social services – disaster, Sheep River Library, oil and gas industry representatives, Town of Turner Valley staff, Town of Black Diamond Council and staff, volunteers and so many more. For the countless acts of kindness, we extend our heartfelt thanks. We will ss keep you updated as we move forward, and hope you will continue to be patient and supportive as responders work through this challenging time. Mayor Kelly Tuck and Council
