Dear Respected Doctors we went for inspection in 2004-05 and followed it up on 2006-08. we will be doing so again, as the criterion for the space of a clinic is still devoid of any standard and the set up yet does not augment the standards.Regarding the NMC, the nos of representatives may not have the yield to convince the larger share of medicos and we all know their knowledge in dentistry,We were told 500 to be the nos for nmc and now the threshold is increasing day by day.Well if not NMC for now then when? what could we do during the attacks on lumbini and bhaktapur despite the complaints to NMC and NMA? do we still wait for the numbers? Sad but true, who are serving in the periphery? lets get the facts first and preach-just a personal thought which actually may be burning in all of you. If we strictly adhere to the norms ,which by the way came into picture in 2061 BS,Also, we are still waiting for the National oral health policy revised version which is yet to be found for dissemination. we circulated the questionnaire then also, and visited the registration and tax offices through proper channel. Its great to hear spirit for the betterment of dentistry.If you are so, then i would be more than happy to share the questionnaire with you and let you lead in your area of practise, If others also follow suit, we can have the proper data and digitaliza through GIS for at least those fulfilling the criterion and the rest to follow up or action being taken by the authoritative bodies- NMC or Oral division of NMA .NDA-i doubt and NDC- people wants 5000-6000 which by the time may be beyond control. well the first survey was done from my own pocket and help of willing seniors and dental surgeons.The second time, it was a grant chosen out of 26 countries. and yes, our government,nmc ,nma were least bothered and so we walked along the fire never mind the threats and physical abuse. I applaud all your spirit and would request you to do the same as it will be much easier for you since the questionnaire and required material for inspection is already done but you could go for peer review and validity and reliability check with fellow surgeons and colleges and your professors as well.Kudos to your spirit and wish you gather more like minded who would not bother to walk along the line of fire for the betterment of dentistry.
