Dear Rotaractors all around the World, We are glad to announce that there will be INTERNATIONAL YOUTH PEACE FORUM which will be held in Izmir between February 22nd and 25th, in Izmir/TURKEY. While celebrating the 110th year of foundation of International Rotary, we are inviting young people between the ages of 18-25 to the International Peace and Youth Forum which will be held in Izmir between February 22nd and 25th. The title of the Forum will be Intercultural Empathy, Peace and Youth. The tragic incidents of humanity we are going through recently, remind us how badly we are in need of peace these days. So, it has become a necessity for all the people to learn to resolve differences through talking and debating and to help it become a culture. Within the framework of World Peace and Understanding Week, The Intercountries Committee and the Committee of Peace and Conflict Resolution mutually organizes this Forum and aims to bring approximately 250 young people together to talk about world peace . These young people will consist of Rotaractors of our District and non-Rotarian foreign or Turkish youngsters. This Forum also aims to get us, Turkish families to know the youth better and to have warm relations among the participants. The due date for application to this event has been declared as 10th February 2015. The language of the Forum will be English and no translators will be provided. There will be trips to Virgin Marys house and Ephesus Archeological site. For foreign participants all the accommodation, transportation, food and trip expenses in Izmir will be provided by the organization committee.
