Dear SVCC, 2014 has been an amazing year! I am so thankful for each of you and for how the Lord continues to grow us as a faith family. As you know, from time to time we have family talks about our financial situation. Our goal is never to guilt anyone into giving, but to simply be open an honest about our needs… like a family. As the year comes to a close, we are behind in our budget/expenditures. As your pastor, I would like to ask you to pray about the possibility of a year-end gift. Again… this is NOT about guilt… it’s about family. We all make up the body of Shades and our resources are used primarily to care for one another through paying our bills, caring for our staff, our missionaries, and our body. I know that for many of you, a year-end gift is simply not a possibility. I would ask you simply to pray for us as body and find other ways the Lord has gifted you to invest in your faith family at Shades.
