No hot water. No Central Heating. Telephoning 0800 294 9650 gave me an appointment for tomorrow 12.00 – 18.00 Saturday - which caused some weekend itinerary problems. Not good news for the amount that I pay per annum with the kettle having to boil every requirement for hot water ! However, I have to report that an engineer rang HQ to say that he had finished early, and was any local job outstanding. HQ rang my telephone number and my wife jumped at the opportunity for an engineer to attend this evening at 18.30. He arrived, on time, stripped and attended to the boiler (condensate reservoir full of acid-gunge). He emptied and re-set the system and all is cosily warm and operating now – i.e. repaired.
