Dear SouthShore Chamber Friends, Each year, thanks to so many of you- we are able to donate over 100 pairs of new shoes to local children in need. These children would otherwise not start the school year with new shoes. We partner with the Hillsborough County Back to School Coalition on this project. At their August 16th event they give FREE immunizations and physicals to kids starting in our schools. We set up a room with all the shoes on display and each child is allowed to select one pair of shoes. The expressions on the faces of these children are priceless! So far, we have collected 45 pairs. We would like to break our record from last year ….which was 107 pairs! Many places have closed toe, tennis shoes, on sale at this time of year. It is very easy to find a pair for under $10.00. Shoe sizes need to be between 1 and 4 for both boy and girl.
