Dear Teammates, This was released today and is being distributed by your local regional directors! Introducing Vital Signs In March 2014, over 100 of your team leaders voted on the Core Values they believe are integral to the success of Rural/Metro. Dozens of values have been considered by a committee that is charged with refreshing and re-launching our Core Values. The committee gathered feedback from our teammates in order to establish Core Values that resonate in a memorable way. We hope you will agree and embrace our four new Core Values:• Team • Responsiveness • Integrity • Quality VITALSIGNSIt is essential that we roll out the Core Values to our teammates, and to help re-launch this initiative we have recruited two new “team members:” Corey and Val. They will help us deliver our Core Values messaging in a creative and engaging way through “Vital Signs.”This pair of characters is customized for Rural/Metro and will be featured ina series of communications called “Vital Signs.” Corey and Val will use light- hearted humor and quick, easy-to-read messaging to communicate the Core Values on a routine basis. We plan to utilize the R/M Learning Center to keep you up to speed on their adventures.CALL TO ACTION — Vital Signs in the FieldA key aspect of this re-launch effort is to include examples of our teammates demonstrating the Core Values at the highest levels within our organization. So, think about teammates who come to mind as you contemplate our Core Values. Has someone done something that exemplifies one or more of the four values listed above?Tell us, in 100 words or less, who is the cream of the crop, which Core Value they demonstrate and a story to go along with it. They could be chosen to represent Rural/Metro’s Core Values in our Vital Signs Series.
