Dear UK/EU friends - We need your help. Llewyn and I have been in England since 2009 on student visas, which will expire mid-January. Despite having interviewed for several jobs which would have enabled us to switch to work visas, I havent been successful and we now need to leave the country by mid-January. Over the past few years, weve built up a lot of momentum collaborating with an incredible network of artists and academics here in the UK - its become our new home - and wed really love to continue to make things happen over here. Our plan is to stay in the EU, likely Spain, for a couple of months in order to be able to continue to apply for jobs in the UK/EU. Unfortunately, its not as simple as getting an admin or service industry job - The only positions that I can apply for need to demonstrate that a certain level of knowledge and experience are needed. So, if anyone knows of any jobs going on a graduate level that would be able to provide Tier 2 visa sponsorship for me - please send them my way. In this situation, these include: Lecturer positions, research assistantships, postdocs, and senior arts management roles such as creative producer positions. My areas of specialism are in Live Art and performance, visual arts, contemporary and modern art history, and history of museums and curation. My full CV is up on academia.edu.
