Dear WG Animal Neighbors: Welcome to our lovely page! The purpose of this page is to unite the animal lovers in our community and share helpful resources related to pet ownership. Be advised: we are a rescue-centric page. This is not the appropriate forum for posts about puppies for sale or intentionally breeding animals of any sort. Thank you for your understanding and support of animal rescue and welfare. Regarding LOST OR FOUND animals: it is THE LAW that you must take a found animal to animal services upon finding it in order for it to be processed through their database. Not only is this law, but it is the best chance the pets owner has to be reunited with it. Our local animal services facility is San Jose Animal Care Center located at 2750 Monterey Rd, San Jose, 95111. The shelters phone number is (408) 794-7297. Having said that, if you find an animal and do not want to leave it at the shelter, you may tell them you wish to register the animal with them and care for it as the reporting party until its owner comes forward. You may also get involved with a rescue group as a foster parent.
