Dear all, I am a writer for Fast Media Ltd, a magazine publishing company. One of the magazines we produce is Southside Magazine. It is a freely distributed publication that focuses around life on Hong Kong’s Southside. As part of a future issue, I am currently conducting research surrounding 86/88 Stanley Main St, specifically where THE BOATHOUSE (restaurant) currently stands. Prior The Boathouse (which opened in 1999) stood IGOR’S, a horror-themed restaurant. And before Igor’s there was STANLEY’S FRENCH. I was wondering if there was anyone here that remembers either or both of these establishments, and who are willing to share any memories of the place? If anyone happens to know what was at that location before Stanley’s French, I would love to learn about that as well.
