Dear all, We have an approved Training Course in Bakuriani, Georgia entitled as “Youth For Peace, Youth For Democracy”. The project is financed from Youth in Action due to which all project related costs and 70% of travel cost are covered by organizers. The Training Course will be held from 23-29th of April, 2014. The deadline to apply for the Training Course is 15th of March 2014. GOOD LUCK!!! About the project The “Youth For Peace, Youth For Democracy” is training about conflict resolution. In times of tensions rising everywhere across the world, societies being shaken by increasing economic inequalities and the international community confronted by social and transnational conflicts, this project has two main aims: 1) creating awareness among participants why do such conflicts occur, by providing the keys to understand and decode events happening at home and abroad. 2) To show and empower participants that something can be done and an answer can be provided to these situation, and that they may be the solution if she wish to. By exploring conflict analysis, social mediation, campaigning, non-violent active, active citizenship and participation, democracy, and putting it all in practice and relevant to their organizations and realities. The 6-day long training course that will be implemented by “Youth Initiation for Democracy” NGO in Georgia, will bring together 32 youth leaders, to promote young people’s active citizenship in general and their European citizenship in particular: Active Citizenship and Participation is what we want to promote, as we want youth to understand that the problems and issues are similar, therefore solutions can also be, and the solution is to be active and to take responsibility, in other words, empowering to being the solution. Following the fundamental principle of the EU we want to create cohesion and a sense of citizenship based not on passport but on shared values, that creates union and strength and can foster action. Action that are empowered to implement in their realities, as well as at European level by raising awareness concerning the new programmes supporting Youth Cooperation
