Dear fellow students , The Government has recently declared this Friday, 22 August 2014 as a national day of mourning, when the first batch of the remains of the MH17 victims return home to Malaysia. This declaration is a show of our solidarity with the families in this time of unspeakable grief. As the entire nation receives the bodies of our fellow Malaysians, we are deeply urge to give our fullest cooperation in observing the following on 22 August 2014: • the Malaysian flag shall be flown at half-mast at all PETRONAS facilities and assets; • all events of a celebratory nature scheduled to take place on that day shall be postponed accordingly; • staff & students are encouraged to don attires that are respectful in nature, as befits a time of grief and mourning Let us gather our collective thoughts and spirit, regardless of race and creed, to stand united behind the families as they prepare to finally lay their lost ones to rest. Thank you all for your attention and cooperation in this matter.
