Dear friend and incredible poet, Alice Friman, is featured in the prestigious Midwest Poets Series tonight. Celebrate her new collection of poetry, The View from Saturn (fall 2014), from Louisiana State University Press. Previous books include Vinculum (LSU), for which she won the 2012 Georgia Author of the Year Award in Poetry. She is a recipient of a Pushcart Prize and has been included in The Best American Poetry. Admission is $3 at the door. Rockhurst students pay nothing. No one will be denied admission for lack of funds. Books will be available at the event.
