Dear friends I am writing to let anyone who might have know my brother Paul Aitken know that Paul sadly lost his battle with lung cancer on Saturday the 11th October. As a family we are aware that Paul knew a huge number of people in relation to his attending of the annual Solstices and Equinoxs at Stonehenge for many decades. Also his tireless work in helping overturn the suspending and compromising of the right to assembly. In addition we believe that Paul also helped people from the traveller community with legal issues and advice. We would dearly like all who knew him to attend his funeral which will be next Wednesday the 22nd October at 12.30pm at the Woodland Burial Site in Hinton Park near Christchurch, close to where Paul lived. Most people who knew Paul will know that he was an extremely private person, so ascertaining exactly who he knew, is an interesting task ! We would be most grateful if any of you that did know Paul would pass on the sad news of his death together with the details of the funeral, as we hope to be able to celebrate the life of our remarkable brother and get the opportunity to meet some of his friends from the part of his life that meant so much to him.
