Dear friends In the last few days, I have seen hundreds of horrible pictures of many innocent children and women killed by missiles, commercial buildings and residential areas and even mosques destroyed and civilians fleeing from excessive Israeli bombardment of Gaza. Fortunately, there have also been many signs of humanity in action, solidarity demonstrations, declarations of condemnation as well as individual acts of heroism from civilians both in Israel and internationally. But nothing can top the tenacity, single-minded courage and resolve of this 9 years old Palestinian girl in this short video that she displayed in the face of oppression by standing up to and scolding an armed Israeli soldier. Here is a rough English translation by a friend, Sara Larsen of the words, this little girl used and asked the soldier twice; Where are you taken the arrested person. Then she says; “Who do you think, you are? Just because you have a uniform and authority, you do not scare me”. Just her body language is so brave and intimidating that even this big soldier is listening to her interestingly. WOW. Bless her!
