Dear friends: Over the last several years Ive been working on a creative photography project. Progress has been slow, but the time has come to make it happen. The goal is to use the camera to capture the most beautiful faces experiencing Real emotion, and not simply posing or performing. This is something largely lacking in photography, but it seems to me that it may actually be the most difficult kind of image to capture. The model must be made to forget the camera exists at all, and to feel as though theyre in their own world in order to be totally comfortable being the subject of a photography project like this. Its a simple matter to snap photos of a person standing right in front of you(if theyll cooperate), but to capture real emotion using a camera is different. Ive devised a technique that should make this work, and Im in the process of submitting this project to Kickstarter to help make it come to life. In planning for this project, I created a page a while back called Feminine Adoration in order to illustrate my personal vision of beauty to potential supporters. It also serves as a way to describe my project and the progress Ive made. This page is the most dangerous part of all, as it exposes my taboo artistic ambitions to close friends and family.
