I know this dream is a possible..... with love... xo, Kim A message from Myriam Joseph... My sister Melissa and her husband Todd moved to California from Massachusetts some years ago. As her progressive Multiple Sclerosis advanced and required her to be in a wheel chair full time, she found it too difficult to manage the inclement weather there. At the time of their move, they were able to purchase a used converted minivan to allow for my sister to drive and maintain her independence. The seller was honest to tell her that the minivan had a few good years left in it and it has served them well. However, the little van that could has slowly become the little van that did but doesnt anymore. She has taken to running errands close to home in her wheelchair with the girls following on their bikes. While this is a short-term remedy on some days, its exhausting for her and is dangerous, as many of the busy streets do not have sidewalks. My reasons for making this request for support are Annalise, Mirabella and Lyric, my beautiful nieces ranging from kindergarten to high school. They are wonderfully active children, a few of their interests include trombone, gymnastics, dance, soccer and girl scouts. My sister is committed to being as involved as possible in their activities. Without transportation, she is extremely limited and while she can manage, her real joy comes from participating in and witnessing their experiences Some very generous family members have given support to aid in the purchase of a newer van.
