Dear members, Just a quick note to say that the Graduate Student Help Desk will be running for the rest of this semester and all of next, starting on Monday, November 4. The general goal is to provide UTM economics undergraduates, like those downtown, with easy access to graduate students in economics. Our graduate students can help advise about graduate school options in economics. They can also serve as an additional resource for undergraduates, and especially those in upper years, when they are stuck on their coursework. The graduate students will hold regular office hours on the second floor of the Kaneff Centre. The current roster is: * Mondays Lei Tang 12-2pm Uros Petronijevic 2-4pm in KC263 * Tuesdays Mike Gilraine 12-2pm * Wednesdays Derek Messacar 10-12pm Samra Younus 2-4pm * Thursdays Joshua Murphy 1-3pm Please note: On Wednesday, November 6, there will be a `launch party for the Graduate Help Desk at UTM from 5-6:30pm in DV1142. Professor Robert McMillan will introduce the graduate students individually and say a few words about the goals of the initiative. Pizza will be served.
